FAQ’s oF my photographs:

WHAT IS AN ARCHIVAL PIGMENT PRINT:
Archival Pigment Prints have gained acceptance by artists and museums worldwide allowing for limited edition prints of an original work of art. In photography, instead of  multi-prints on silver halide salts based paper, I now use archival pigment inks and archival papers for my final print.

My prints are created using state-of-the-art archival pigment printers that spray microscopic droplets of pigmented ink onto archival quality coated papers. The result is a archival* original limited edition work of art.

WHAT IS AND HOW LIMITED IS A LIMITED EDITION
Limited editions vary with the size and the price. My larger pieces have only an edition of 25 prints plus 5 artist proofs. The low number has a direct bearing on the exclusive quotient attached to you piece, their availability and price.

HOW IS IT MADE:
Each print starts with a high resolution digital photograph or a high resolution digital scan of one of my original works. Next fine adjustments are made in a digital software program for optimum color, clarity, resolution and contrast. I then print a proof to be compared against the image on my screen and what my vision of how the final art work should look. Finer adjustments are made to the image and additional proofs are made until I am satisfied with the final image. I then print the final image using archival pigment inks printed on archival paper.  Then it is coated with three coats of  UV spray.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST:*
Independent researchers place the life of the materials used to create an archival pigment ink print on archival paper to be upwards of 140 years depending on environmental and display conditio2ns.

HOW WILL I GET IT HOME:
Prints are provided rolled and ready for matting and framing by a professional framer. The prints can be shipped FED EX. If needed, I can help you find a framer in your area.

What is an original Polaroid Print:
There are five types of Polaroid Processes that can be done with Polaroid film,
the straight print, Image Transfer, Emulation Transfer, SX70 Technique and the negative/reverse of the BW/Color film. All the images produced by these processes are one of a kind prints. These original one of a kind photographs are high resolution scanned and printed using a printer that uses archival pigment inks and archival papers in a limited edition.
